David’s background is employment marketing and branding, and he has worked for a range of high-profile organisations. 

After an early career in recruitment advertising, David founded a specialist communications agency in 2005, focusing on the recruitment of CEO and Director-level attraction campaigns. He was retained by BEIS to advise on improving the calibre and diversity of its 50+ non-executive boards. Davidleads on the recruitment of CEOs., Chairs and trustees, as well as ELT and system leadership roles. He has served as Chair of a range of civic organisations; in addition to four years as a school governor he was for five years Vice-Chair of the City Learning Trust (Stoke-on-Trent). An experienced housing association non-executive, he is currently Chair of Calico Homes, which operates in Burnley and East Lancashire, and serves on the board of its parent Group.
