Our board’s growth will create the governance capacity to support our strategic ambition, and this round of recruitment will enable us to appoint at least two trustees. It’s an exceptional opportunity to join a mission-driven board and an inspiring senior team, with the security of resources and freedom to act provided by our endowed status.
Candidates will bring an impressive, rounded and proven profile, which must include significant global non-profit leadership and governance experience, either on the board or as a senior executive. Your career to date will have given you extensive knowledge of leadership development programmes, the innovation economy, start-up culture and scaling, change management, and/or financial management. Non-executive experience of high-growth organisations would be a particular asset, as would an understanding of how innovation and experimentation can be encouraged in a non-profit context.
Sophisticated, relationally adept and a with natural affinity for cultivating, influencing, convening, facilitating, and building consensus with others, you’ll be distinctive for your personal integrity, credibility, and track record of teamwork, responsiveness, and dedication. And it’s essential that you bring a nuanced and deeply informed perspective on our mission, drawn from lived experiences in diverse communities of Blackness within the global African diaspora.
