​Emma brings over twenty years' executive search experience, focused upon Chief Executive and board appointments across the public, private and third sector. Her previous roles include Principal Consultant, Board Practice at GatenbySanderson and Co-Head of the Derivatives Desk at Odgers. She also spent over three years working with Ffion Hague on Corporate Governance and Board Evaluation for FTSE 100 boards. This work granted Emma a deeper understanding of board performance and what good looks like, as well as skills in board evaluation and assessment.

Across this broad range of experience, a uniting thread has been Emma’s commitment, through leading on some of the most significant appointments in public life, to improving equity, inclusion and diversity in all its forms. She is also a published co-author of books with her husband including the Sunday Times bestseller Inside Broadmoor and Hatton Garden: The Inside Story. Her latest book will be published by Bonnier in August 2023.

In her spare time Emma is trying to visit every country in the world, with Uzbekistan the latest addition, and accompanied by her family on her adventures as much as possible.
