Over the past 12 months we have developed a new strategic direction, which has resulted in an increased demand for our services, an abundance of new clients, and expanding the sectors that we support. As a result, we are looking to expand our associate network to ensure we have the support network to meet our workload demands, maintain the quality of our delivery, and continue to meet our clients’ expectations.

What does the role involve?

The purpose of the role is to support the executive search Consultants and Researchers with any number of projects they are handling at any one time.This support could be in the form of attending a client meeting to take notes, completing desk research on new clients, collating information and writing reports and, most importantly, on sourcing candidates for the roles Cadence is retained to fill.

This is a valued and important role within the Cadence team and will offer a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be curious, analytical, creative, a good team player and keen to learn.

You will have the opportunity to develop your commerciality and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally, and work on business-critical projects on a regular basis. As a central point of knowledge and information, you will be a vital component of a driven, professional and expanding business.

Key Tasks:
  • Being totally immersed in all projects from beginning to end, offering support, an extra pair of hands and pro-active ideas for resourcing new talent throughout

  • Carrying out desk research and attending client briefing meetings to ensure a detailed package of information is developed for the consultants

  • Working with the wider research team to develop search strategies at the beginning of each project

  • Sourcing candidates by using all available means: databases, LinkedIn recruiter, social media, browsing social networking sites for suitable job profiles with required skills etc.

  • Developing relationships with current clients and candidates and maintaining a candidate pipeline at all times: able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of employees and peers

  • Screening candidates, conducting telephone interviews and providing detailed notes and recommendations

  • Responsible for working with the executive search consultants and operations team on all executive search assignments, working with the consultants to ensure they run smoothly, are fully supported, and candidates sourced within agreed timescales

  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance levels and high standards of candidate experience

  • Ensuring all databases are kept up-to-date

  • Presentable, articulate, and comfortable meeting clients and candidates at all levels and of all backgrounds

  • Ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, and sensitive information to clients and candidates

  • Being proactive and anticipating the needs of candidates and clients

  • Always providing a positive and professional impression of Cadence Partners.

  • Able to pre-empt and address issues through problem solving at the first opportunity, escalating appropriate issues

  • Able to plan and prioritise sometimes with little notice.

Who we’re looking for?
  • A recent graduate or someone who has a passion and interest for working within executive recruitment

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to deal in a professional manner with candidates and clients

  • Demonstrably high standards in service delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in respect of the business processes and systems

  • Effective in proactively managing own workload and working in conjunction with a wider project team

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative and dynamic team, with a proactive and supportive approach to problem-solving

  • Adept with IT, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, databases, and video conferencing

  • A deep commitment to EDI and a genuine and meaningful approach to challenging the status quo, with an appreciation of the responsibility we hold as gatekeepers and accountability for addressing bias in recruitment

  • Takes personal responsibility for making things happen

  • Shows integrity, professionalism, honesty, and empathy

  • Brings intellectual and professional curiosity, an open approach to ideas, personal resilience, and a high level of emotional intelligence.

NB: We are looking for candidates who are based in the Midlands and can commit to commuting to our Nottingham office multiple times a week.
